The Greater Richmond Pre-Inaugural Celebration, hosted by Bill Bevins of Lite 98.1 and benefiting local charities, will be held in the elegant ballrooms of the Greater Richmond Convention Center on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 8:30 p.m.—1:30 a.m. 

Currently headlined by Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, with other artists to be announced, this unique musical extravaganza will celebrate the upcoming inauguration of The Honorable Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States.

This non-partisan pre-inaugural party, Virginia’s largest, will feature a broad range of musical genres such as R&B, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Latino, and Hip Hop. Everyone who loves music and partying in a grand, fun style is invited to come out and participate in this unique musicfest. 

You will enjoy an unforgettable evening while supporting Greater Richmond nonprofits including FeedMore—the umbrella organization that brings together the Central Virginia FoodBank, Meals on Wheels Serving Central Virginia and the Community Kitchen—to more effectively fight hunger in our region.

Join us for a magical night of extraordinary music and entertainment—and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!! Guests must be 21 years of age or older.
